6mm, 8mm & 10mm Glass

Shower enclosures typically come in either 6mm, 8mm or 10mm thickness.

6mm is the most commonly available thickness and benefits from being most affordable.

8mm and 10mm glass is more expensive, however the thicker glass is stronger and the weight of the doors give the enclosure a sense of quality over the lighter doors.

Fluted

Fluted glass is characterised by vertical grooves on the outer side of the panel. The inner side is smooth, allowing for easy cleaning.

Fluted glass is a way of achieving privacy, whilst still maintaining light in the bathroom.

Grid

This style of shower is framed by a series of lines and is often available in matt black.

Quadrant

A quadrant shower is one that fits into the corner of a room and has a curved glass door, either sliding or hinged.

Pentangle

A pentangle shower is an angular version of a quadrant shower. Instead of a curved piece of glass, a pentangle shower has a straight hinged door.

Corner Entry

Corner entry showers are similar to quadrants, however the base of the shower is square. The doors are either sliding or hinged.

Sliding Door

This style of door has a panel that slides against another on a track. Flair offer a triple slider with three panels, allowing for a larger access than the standard 2-panel slider.

Pivot Door

This door operates on a pivot hinge, allowing for part of the door to swing inwards when the door is opened. This is a better option for a compact space than a hinged door, as less of the door swings into the room.

Infold Door

This style of door is similar to a pivot door, however a greater portion of the glass swings into the shower when opened, making it an even better option for a compact space.

Hinge Door

This door is operated by a hinge at the edge of the glass, allowing for a wider opening than a pivot door.

Bifold Door

A bifold door comprises of 2 or 3 pieces of glass that fold into each other when opened.

Saloon Door

This style of door is unique to Flair and is comprised of two hinged doors of the same length. This allows for a large access, whilst minimising the size of glass swinging into the room.

Walk-In Wetroom

This style of enclosure is made up of fixed panes of glass, supported by bracing bars. A flipper panel can be added to allow for greater access into the shower and be used to block the spray of water.

Wetroom Sliding Door

This style of door is a hybrid between a wetroom piece of glass (supported by a bracing bar) and a sliding door on a track, but doesn't require a side panel or second wall to be mounted to.

Bespoke

For scenarios where a custom piece of glass or enclosure is required, brands like Merlyn and Wetroom Innovations offer bespoke, measuring, manufacture and fitting services.
