Close Coupled

A close coupled toilet is one where the pan and cistern are joined together in one complete unit. This style of toilet is the most affordable compared to other styles.

Open vs Closed Back

Close coupled toilets are either open back or closed back. The former features a cut out, exposing the pipework, whereas the latter goes flush against the wall, concealing the pipework.

Back to Wall

In this style of toilet, the pan sits flush against a surface. The cistern is seperate to the pan and is concealed within a WC unit or wall.

Wall Hung

A wall hung toilet is one that is suspended off the floor by a concealed frame. These toilets are easier to clean, height adjustable and look neater, due to the hidden pipework.

Low-level

This type of toilet features a cistern that is mounted slightly above the pan and connected by an exposed pipe.

High-Level

Like a low-level toilet, a high-level features a cistern that is mounted above the pan by an exposed pipe, but at a higher point.

Comfort Height

A comfort height toilet has a higher pan than a standard toilet. This design is often more comfortable for taller people and the elderly.

Short Projection

As the name suggests, this type of toilet projects a shorter distance from the wall than a standard toilet, making them a good choice for a compact space.

Rimless

This type of toilet lacks the rim found on standard toilets and uses a flushing system that directs water from the back, covering the entire surface of the bowl in a circular motion. As a result, they have a more efficient flush and are easier to clean.

Smart

This is an advanced toilet equipped with technology that enhances user experience and hygiene. Features include: washing, drying, water & seat heating, lighting, de-scaling and deodorizing and can often be controlled by a remote control or app on one's phone.

Bidets

A bidet is a pan with a tap designed for washing after using the toilet. They are available in a back to wall or wall hung configuration and with or without a seat.

Flush plates

Flush plates and buttons are now available in a variety of shapes and finishes, to suit any bathroom design.
